Our class Celebrated Fathers' Day by making Replica World Cup trophies for our dads (below). Happy Fathers' Day dads! (and good luck getting those trophies from the kids!). We have also celebrated the World Cup with a range of activities, including a World Cup dice simulation, which was won by Nadja, a Serbian representing South Africa! Singing in a Winter Wonderland

Just before Christmas our class celebrated by performing Santa Claus is Coming to Town in Chatsworth's traditional Christmas Concert. Everyone looked great in their red and green Christmas colours. All that practice in Mr Marcello's Music lessons certainly paid off because the performance was excellent and helped everyone get into the Christmas spirit (the Christmas party afterwards certainly helped too!)

Our Field Trip to Investigate Places of Worship

On Thursday19th November we went to visit several places of worship. We visited a Christian Church and a Muslim Mosque. After a hard morning of Inquiry we settled down at an Indian restaurant in Little India to eat lunch. Unfortunately, by the time we finished our lunch and walked in the rain (well, undercover mostly!) The Hindu Temple we had planned to visit had closed :(. Oh well, nevermind! It was a great (and wet!) day and the students found out lots of information from our parent helpers and guest speakers!

On Thursday 15th October the students invited their parents into school to teach them how to write different kinds of poems. All the students were excellent teachers and communicated with the adults to help them write some very impressive limericks, haikus, kennings and simile poems. Well done everybody!
